D. Michael Davis, CPA

D -micheal -davisMr. Davis currently serves Dixon, Davis, Bagent & Company as the Chairman and the Manager of the Tax and Outsourcing/Consulting Groups. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1981; and of Regis University where he received his Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting in 2007.

Mike has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant since 1986 and as a Certified Bank Auditor, by the Bank Administration Institute, since 1983. Mike is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has been recognized by the Bank Administration Institute as a Charter Member of their Certified Risk Professional certification, acknowledging his years of training and experience in assisting client financial institutions in assessing and controlling risk.

Since joining the firm in 1981, Mike has provided numerous client services, including: supervising audits, preparing client tax returns, performing loan reviews, developing policies, preparing annual reports, preparing client performance analysis, assisting with bank reconcilements, developing and performing internal audit procedures, training client internal auditors, and performing regulatory compliance reviews, including numerous Anti-Money Laundering reviews. Mike has also been a presenter for Northwest Ohio Auditors Association, and has authored an article on the responsibilities of Audit Committees for the Community Bankers Association of Ohio’s quarterly magazine. Mike has served the firm in the Audit Group as an Auditor-in-Charge for many years, and as the Audit Manager. He was also the Firm Administrator prior to taking the position he now enjoys as the Manager of the Outsourcing and Tax Groups.

Mike and his wife Beth are lifelong residents of the Central Ohio area, and they reside in Heath, Ohio, with their youngest two children, Joy and Shannon. They have four adult children and six grandchildren as well. Mike has been a youth baseball coach in the Newark Moundbuilders Babe Ruth baseball league, and more recently in the Heath Sertoma Youth Athletic Association little league baseball program. He is a past member of the Hebron Village Council and the Hebron Volunteer Fire Department.
